THE BRIEF
This was our second time to visit and work on this beautiful queenslander home. Our clients originally sourced us for the painting of their newly renovated master suite, and now required the remainder of the home’s interior to be refreshed.
WHAT WE DID
As with most traditional queenslander homes, this home is filled with iconic timber fretwork, fanlights, and VJ boards. In order obtain the greatest level of coverage as well as a smooth and consistent finish, we used spray techniques to paint all fanlights, fretwork and architraves. Spraying is an ever growing part of our trade that allows us to get right into intricate areas and small nooks without leaving visible brush lines or runs. This said, there is a time and a place for spraying, and it certainly doesn’t replace the traditional aspects of our trade. All preparation and the painting of all walls and doors was completed by hand, as was the caulking of all skirting boards to the timber floor to create crisp lines, and to help prevent draughts and creepy crawlies.
