PROJECT PELHAM

THE BRIEF

This stunning family home started out as a creamy-yellow and grey single level character home, built around the 1930s. Our client, an exceptional owner builder, transformed the tired home into a fresh and expansive residence, with a lift, build-under and extension. We were involved in all aspects of this project, joining our fellow trades to complete all painting works to the exterior and interior.

WHAT WE DID

This was a staged project that provided us with a variety of old and new areas to blend together into the home you see today. Whilst the lower level is all new, the upper level retained some original features, such as the timber bay windows, which were restored with care.

We commenced works to the exterior of the upper level before moving indoors, and finishing off on the lower level exterior. The team spent days up in the heights of the stunning raked ceilings, our favourite feature of the home. The other area we adore is the unique teak decking, which was coated for protection, but to a more natural finish and look compared to many other decks we complete. This less glossy and more raw look works beautifully with the teak, and creates the perfect segue from indoors to out.
