PROJECT PORTLAND

The Brief

This lovely home belongs to regular clients of ours, whom we’ve completed a number of projects for in years gone by. This time around, they required a full exterior repaint, and hoped to resolve some ongoing difficulties they’d been having with cracking to the rendered walls.

What We Did

Our clients had two different colour schemes chosen for their home, and weren’t sure which to proceed with, so we firstly arranged for a digital overlay of each colour scheme for them to compare and use to decide. This was really effective, and we love the colours they ended up choosing!

In order for us to rectify the existing cracking and to prevent it occurring again in the future, we elected to repaint their rendered surfaces using an elastomeric product from Dulux’s Acratex range. Elastomeric coatings are designed to be extremely flexible and durable, which in turn bridges cracks and allows the coating to move with the substrate, without breaking down.

We also used our Dulux Acratex system to repaint the roof, providing a long-lasting, protective coating to their roof tiles. Lastly, we finished the look by repainting the side aluminium gates, perfectly tying everything together!
